Love Island X Agua de Kefir

Love Island USA became a cultural phenomenon in the past year, with Season 6 reaching an unprecedented level of popularity. Seeing the opportunity, my team and I set out to harness that momentum to elevate one of our brands Agua de Kefir through cross-pollination with the franchise. As a beverage brand, our ultimate goal is to turn awareness into conversion, and with Agua de Kefir’s bold, youthful, and playful personality, the partnership with Love Island felt like a natural fit. Hot singles, summer vibes, and a little bit of flirtation? It was a match made in marketing heaven.

Enunciar y exagerar – Being a Spanish Voiceover

Being a voiceover is quite an experience: you become so hyper-focused on your dictation, pronunciation, speech speed, and more. While I am a comfortable and confident presenter, being a voiceover is something I never considered doing, simply because the opportunity had not presented itself. However, when I was asked if I was interested in being the Spanish voiceover for a new COVID-19 video campaign we were doing for the university, I was eager to give this a shot.

Cal Lutheran Spanish Style Guide

Creating the university’s official Spanish language style guide was the big first-year project in my current role as Cal Lutheran’s Bilingual Content Producer. This was a result of the university wanting to expand their marketing efforts to its Spanish language audience. It also would serve as a form of standardization and uniformity of the language across campus.

CLU NPR Commercial

Writing a commercial script is quite a feat! Aside from traditional copywriting, there are so many additional elements you have to think about: timing, beat, pronunciation, rhythm. I was eager to take on this project as I was challenging myself to craft something that prominently displayed our brand in 30 seconds and then have a third party member understand, read, and record it without my direction. Talk about having faith in your work!

Welcome to NSO

Snip 2019-08-24 23.40.18

During my undergraduate career at Cal Lutheran, I had the opportunity to experience New Student Orientation three times. As a freshman, my memories are rushes of vivid and lively emotions. As a Peer Advisor (orientation leader), I found myself more connected with my university and eagerly welcoming the incoming students to their new home.

One of my first projects in my current role as Cal Lutheran’s Bilingual Content Producer was to create copy for the NSO 2019 video. So let’s just say I felt right at home with this project!
